Simon began his broadcast career towards the end of 1993 where he started as a studio hand at London's Kiss 100. In 1994 Simon took on the role of assistant producer at Kiss where he was part of the production team responsible for Judge Jules, Carl Cox, Boy George and Cold Cut. While at Kiss, he co‚-hosted a variety of shows with Graham Gold and hosted segments on many programmes throughout the UK.
In 1998 Simon was instrumental in setting up and managing the successful London based label, Good:As Records and Artist Management Ltd. He did this under the guidance of Graham Gold and Giles Sawney. The success of the label was quickly evident with three top 30 UK hits in its first three years, with one of them reaching the top ten.
With Simon no stranger to the music industry, he continues to consult for independent record labels in the UK and overseas. Memorably, at the turn of the century, and using the management arm of the record label, he managed DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Buren as their careers soared worldwide.
Simon continued to host programmes on music radio stations throughout the UK and from 2003 and over the following three years, he became a well-established personality on London's leading talk station, LBC 97.3 FM. He spent this time reporting, producing and co-hosting a nightly talk programme with one of radio‚'s finest broadcasters, Peter Deeley. Simon also helped Londoners get to and from work presenting live traffic updates from 1,500 feet above the city on London's Heart 106.2.
Now based in Sydney, Australia, Simon presents his weekly music programme live to the UK across the SKY digital network. The programme airs for two hours each Friday from 7pm UK time. For more, visit www.pulserated.com
If you‚'re a frequent traveller with Qantas Airways (Australia's flagship airline), tune in to Channel 9 on board to hear Simon chat with Australian broadcaster Julie McCrossin about all things London each month.
In the international arena, Simon has produced, presented and contributed to programmes broadcast on Japan's Kiss Kobe, the CanWest network in New Zealand and Kiss FM in Australia.
With 13 years of DJ experience under his belt, Simon has an amazing knowledge of house music and respective trends. He has held a number of notable monthly club residencies as well.
His club and radio work continues to take him to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, South China and Ibiza where crowds can sometimes be in excess of 10,000 people.
